Areas of Work Supported

The mission, despite its name, does not primarily offers humanitarian aid for Romania, although as special needs arise, RomAF does respond. Always, the aim is to encourage, support and enable Romanians to work and minister as Christians within their own country.

Among many projects supported are work with abandoned babies, training of Church leaders and ministers, prison ministry, Christian literature, work among the elderly and sick, and encouragement of Christians through personal contact, interest and prayer. There is a particular interest in Christian camp work.

Christian camps

Romania is involved in Christian camp ministry in Romania in three ways:
Campsites

RomAF has invested in the provision of permanent camp sites for children and young people, providing buildings, equipment, work teams, and running expenses. At present the main focus of our camp support is the camp at Dunavat on the Danube Delta.
You can now visit the area of the camp and stay in quality self-catering accommodation (which is an income-generating project for this camp).

CCI Conference

We also sponsor the annual training conference for camp leaders run by Christian Camping International.

Student training camp

In the summer, RomAF organises an interdenominational camp for Christian university and seminary students – future leaders in the church. A balance of Bible teaching and outdoor pursuits is used to challenge the students and develop them personally.
